Map Navigation:
Zoom: You can zoom the map in and out using your middle mouse wheel or by using the zoom slider on the left side of the map. Click the globe button to zoom out to the full state level. Use the zoom previous and zoom next buttons to navigate between map extents.
Pan: You can move the map in any direction by clicking and holding the left mouse button, dragging the map, and releasing the mouse button. This is disabled when measuring.
Search Options:
Search by Stream Name
Search by Entity ID
Search by HUC 12 Name
Search by HUC 12 Number
Search by Permit Number
Search by TDEC Lands Name
Search by Forestry Lands Name
Results:
Search Results: if multiple results are returned through a query or map click, this section will automatically open and show the results. Clicking on an entry in this list or table will open the Detail section and give you more information.
Detail: this section shows the detailed information about a specific feature.
Toolbar buttons:
Aerial Photography: If the background of the map shows the topo map, clicking this button will change the background to the aerial imagery map.
Topo Map: If the background of the map shows aerial imagery, clicking this button will change the background to the topo map.
Full Extent: Click this button to zoom out to the full exent of the state.
Zoom Previous: Click this button to zoom back to the previous map extent. If you have not zoomed the map yet, this button will be deactivated.
Zoom Next: Click this button to zoom to the next map extent. If you are at the most recent map extent, this button will be deactivated.
Go To Location: Click this button to open a dialog box that allows you to enter latitude and longitude in decimal degrees and zoom to that location on the map.
Print (export PDF): Printing maps from this site will vary in quality depending on your browser type, your browser version, and the printer drivers installed on your computer. Using this option, you can export a .pdf document that will be suitable for printing. Click the button and a dialog box will open up allowing you to enter a title if you wish. From that dialog, click the Print button and the .pdf will automatically open up in a new window. If you have a pop-up blocker enabled, be sure and allow pop-ups on this site so the .pdf will open correctly. In case the .pdf will not open, a direct link to the file will appear in the print dialog box.
Help: Opens and closes this dialog box.

Measure:
Point: Click the Point button to activate it. Next, click a location on the map. The coordinates will automatically return in Decimal Degrees and Degrees Minutes Seconds.
Line: Click the Line button to activate it. Click on the map once to start drawing the line. With each click, the line length will increase. When you are ready for the end of the line, double-click and the line length values will automatically return in feet, meters, and yards.
Area: Click the Area button to activate it. Click one the map once to start drawing the polygon. With each click, the area will start to take shape. It will automatically shade in light gray after the third click. When you are ready to complete the polygon, double-click and the values will automatically return. Perimeter: feet, meters, and yards. Area: square feet, square meters, square yards, acres, and square miles.
